BENEFITS OF HAVING A HOBBY

Long before when I was a toddler, I already noticed this interest of mine on arts and crafts, I can create wonderful stuff out of recycled materials and do scrapbooks as my pastime, then on and until now it became my hobby. And even if now, that I am already a young professional and at the peak of having lots of works and errands to run, I still tend to pursue my hobbies because of the benefits I can get from it. That's why I want to share with you how wonderful it is if you have a hobby:

HOBBIES MAKES US PRODUCTIVE. People of different age do tasks they needed, some have to run errands just for them to make a living, but, unfortunately, others don't, instead they become so idle. Engaging in an activity that we want makes us feel productive and that is having a hobby. That aside from doing fun activity during our idle time we are unconsciously doing things with a purpose.

HOBBIES RELIEVES US FROM STRESS. Running so many works and errands can be so stressful, and having a hobby takes us away from it. It creates excitement and joy for we can express ourselves in it without worries of getting a rejection, it's simply doing the things you love. It somewhat breaks us from our daily routine and brings us to our own world where we can feel the happiness that the real world can't give us. It's a great outlet where we can release stress.

HOBBIES DEVELOPS CHALLENGES THAT MOLDS CREATIVITY IN US. When we love the things we do, we stay focused and even challenge ourselves to do more. Just like me, when I compare my piece from before I can say that I have improved a lot. I don't feel frustrated but instead, I become more interested because I found my skills and creativity was developed unconsciously. It's a new way of learning while having fun.

Having a hobby is not always in an instant and isn't always easy. For it always starts from you and it comes naturally. It's evaluating oneself; if you are happy, heartfully and able doing it, cause if not you can stop what you are doing and still try new things. What we need here is an open mind for us to develop what we really want and what's deep within us. We may never know, the hobby we engaged at could mean so much in the future, it could be a business that can fulfill the success we ever wanted and it could be a channel which can make our highest dream be possible.
